Jacob J. Allen

Jacob Allen is the Principal of Fusion Architects and a resident of Iowa City. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa, and prior to receiving his Master of Architecture degree from Iowa State, he worked for several Construction Contractors. Jacob has worked for both Design firms and Developers on a diverse range of project types of various scope across the state of Iowa; including research laboratories, K12 schools, dormitories, high-rises, commercial offices, multi-family, mixed-use, and industrial buildings totaling over 4.7 million square feet and $495 million dollars.

 

Jacob is currently the Treasurer of the CRANDIC chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute, serves on the City of Cedar Rapids Planning and Zoning Advisory Board and Mechanical Board of Appeals, the AIA Iowa Advocacy and Outreach Committee, and the Mayor’s Youth Empowerment Program Board in Iowa City. He has also served as a Board Director for the State of Iowa Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, President of the Southeast Iowa Architects Section Board, as well as volunteering for IowaBIG and the ACE Mentorship Program.
